The Safety in Learning Project, Together with AAA 

The Safety in Learning Project is an development program to rebuild a school in Northern Uganda, started by Janice Stucke. Fiscal and administrative support comes from the Alliance for African Assistance (AAA).   


Mission Statement:  

To renovate the current school building and increase the number of classrooms in the school, so that more pupils will be able to receive and education and eventually enjoy an overall improved standard of living.  


Safety in Learning’s Course of Action 

Safety in Learning aims to achieve its mission by:

  • Renovating the existing building to restore its structural integrity and provide a safe and secure learning environment for students and staff.
  • Building additional classrooms to accommodate the increasing child population in the area and decrease the student-teacher ratio.
  • Reducing illiteracy in the area by admitting more students to the school.
